Welcome to Déjà Food. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Déjà Food mobile application (the "App") provided by Déjà Food ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By registering an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately through the in-app support chat.
You are assigned an anonymous User Code (e.g., "U001") that is displayed publicly with your reviews. Your real name and email are never shown alongside your reviews.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the App, including dish reviews, restaurant reviews, photos, notes, tags, restaurant requests, and support messages.
You agree not to submit content that:
You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content to the App, you grant Déjà Food a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App for the purpose of operating and improving the service. Your content is displayed anonymously under your User Code.
By uploading photos, you confirm that you own the rights to the images or have permission to share them, and that any individuals depicted have no objection to the photo being shared in the App.
The App displays restaurant information, dish names, menu data, and photos sourced from public websites, Google Places, user submissions, and AI-assisted menu imports. This information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
Disclaimer: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of restaurant details, dish availability, prices, ingredients, allergen information, or operating hours. Always verify directly with the restaurant before making decisions based on this information, particularly regarding allergens and dietary restrictions.
The App uses artificial intelligence and language models to assist with features such as dish scanning, menu import, and recommendations. AI-generated results may not always be accurate. You are responsible for verifying any results before relying on them.
The App uses your device's location to detect nearby restaurants. Your use of location features requires your device-level permission. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings, which will disable location-dependent features.

Reviews and ratings reflect the personal opinions of the users who submitted them. Déjà Food does not endorse or verify the accuracy of any review. We reserve the right to remove, hide, or moderate content that violates these Terms or our community standards, without prior notice.
The App, including its design, features, functionality, and underlying software, is owned by Déjà Food and protected by intellectual property laws. Restaurant names, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used in the App for informational purposes only.
Déjà Food is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant or chain listed in the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results will be accurate or reliable. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Déjà Food and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or health, or any damages resulting from reliance on restaurant, dish, allergen, or pricing information displayed in the App.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Security → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and remove your content if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the App or its users.
When you share a review with another user, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that content. Shared reviews include your anonymous User Code but not your name or email. Recipients' email addresses are used solely for delivering the shared review.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
